ΜΕΓΑΛΕ ΤΗΑΛΑΣΣΑ 1.1 has been released.

This mod has been made for the italian version of the game (gold edition 1.6), but there is a U.S. version too.
It will autoinstall in the same folder of the original game (it might need to be redirected in the u.s. version since i couldnt try it) so a backup is a good idea.

The mod is EXTREMELY light (15MB), no new graphics has been added and it is especially made for who doesnt have a good computer and can't enjoy BIG mods like EuropaBarbarorum and such.

The mod widens the point of view from a roman perspective to all the classic world, translates all units and towns in original language/ancient greek.
The mod also adds a great number of changes to the economic system and the military units, making the game more challenging and slow-paced (it is designed to be played in normal/normal mode).
There are really TONS of changes and the game is much different from the vanilla even if it "looks" the same at a first sight.

I had some nice reports from the italian community so i thought anyone else could have liked it too.

The correct Greek phrase should be 'ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΘΑΛΑΣΣΑ' / 'Μεγάλη Θάλασσα', whereas you have written 'Megale Tealassa'.

Getting back to "single player", "options"...screen when beginning campaign...why?

This happens for two reasons:
a - you are using Vista; the solution is to install Rome outside of your "Program" folder
(this actually should make you CTD)
b - you are using the european/english version (which is very odd) the solution is installing the european/italian version (in the same dvd, just reinstall in italian) or the u.s. version
(this kind of matter brings you back to single player menu)

A lot of people in Italy has the U.S. version (EU version sold really fast and ppl got Rome from online shops) and the mod is actually played on the U.S. version by a few people so i'm pretty sure it works.

I am looking into the MEGALE / MEGALH matter but my daddy does not agree with you so i have to be carefull

I am very sorry but due to lack of human resources it is impossible to keep up with a correct english version, i am aware this is a drawback but if i can't do a good job in english i'd rather stick with the italian version only.

Please if you are not interested in this mod just move on and avoid unrequested and offensive comments about the italian mods community (as i have already seen elsewhere).
