In my last two campaigns, the mughals have taken all of india and begain attemping to invade Europe by sea, by that time I control of all of Western Europe (as the Italian States in the most resent compaign.) I fight them back, taking back what ever city they take after a few turns. But it's being a real pain in arse! they also seem to have some again me personly because they had no interest in america until a take a few islands from pirates then they show up to attack my new colonies (a take one over!). bahhhhhhhhhhhh. Anyway any one else had this happen?

Never happened to me. Usually the Maratha Confederacy take them out. Why don't you retaliate and strike the bastards in their homeland? Take their regions in India and the regions in other theaters just become rebels you can mop up.

I'm actually trying that now, sri lanka had been rebel since the I wipped out the dutch so I took that and have been using it as base. But the brave troopes of the New Roman Republic have become bogged down due to stiff resistance and have not advanced beyond the southern most region.(can't remeber the name). Tried to take Mysore, but that didn't last long. I resentlly got ceasefire with them which I've used this time to mass troopes for the time when they try to attack me again. but damn I miss cheats it was so much easier then...

Landing in India is pretty tough in the later game.
I've landed 3 full stack armies and took 3 regions right away. At the same time I try to shut down it's trading port. (The one with the red dotted line going out of it).
I took hyderabad and goa just recently and making my way up north.

Now I have to face 2 full stack armies. Since I couldn't face that with my well trained but weak army (they fought a lot of wars), I sent it to rest near my 2nd Indian Colonial army until reinforcement comes.

India is tough but is a rather fun strategic game to play.

Bottom line: You'll need people!

Tell me about it...

In my game (4th RTI as the USA), the Marthas took out the Muhgals after a series of bloody wars. about 60 years (12 turns per year) after their unification of India, they got wise and tried to seize one of my colonies (Bengal). It was a sluaghter house for both sides. I sent my best 3 full stacks into the fray. I lost almost 5/6 the total amount of men I had (around 9000 in all) , but took down the bulk of their forces. I killed about 50000-75000 of theirs. No joke, they had about 50 stacks). Anyway, once they started to loose their men, I started to block their trade. they quickly ran out of money (due to heavy raiding and blockades) and where easy pickings for my men.

In the end, I took over all of india, but didnt feel like restoring the place, so I let the Muhgals rebel and made them my protectorate. I kept all but 1 of the shorline territories, and built them up into giant millitary bases.
