I am not sure I am really new to playing on a pc. I have never built a computer before or played very many pc games. But I want to learn!

Well, first choose a monitor, if your entire PC budget is $500-$600 then a 19-20" monitor is about the best you could get (different monitors have different resolutions), that would leave you with only approx. $475 which won't get you a very capable system for such a demanding game as NTW.

So my main question is, does your budget mean you need a screen and keyboard and mouse without exceeding that $500-$600 or are the accessories in addition to the PC itself?

ok. well do you think this would be a good system (Systemax A782 Desktop Computer) and other accessories for a little over $720 at CompUSA.
    - 8 gigs of RAM, AMD Athlon 64x2 dual-core processors 5000+ 2.6 GHz, GeForce 9800 GT videocard, and a new Power Supply Unit with 550 watts (to run the videocard).
    - Windows Vista Home Premium

$720 without a screen? You were saying no more than $600........ and I thought you meant you wanted to build one.

That Toshiba LCD won't work (no VGA, DVI, or HDMI inputs). You say you have another monitor though?

Would I be able to run it on my Imacs monitor? Here is a link to the page about it http://store.apple.com/us/browse/hom...co=MTAyNTQzNjA
    Mine is the $1199.

That won't work either, most all-in-one computers don't allow you to use the screen separate from the system and I don't see any video inputs listed so...

The absolute cheapest parts you could get would be:

    Monitor: $115
    Motherboard $65
    CPU: $45
    RAM: $50
    Hard Drive: $55
    PSU: $40
    Graphics card: $50
    Windows 7: $100
    Case: $30
    CD/DVD drive: $25

include tax and you hit your $600, and I mean that would be a very basic computer that wouldn't even handle NTW. You need the full $600 on the computer if you want something worth anything.

Install Windows on a Mac? Uh.... I have no idea if that's even possible (no experience with Macs) Even if you could NTW performance would be abysmal (high resolution screen)

Yes you can install windows on a mac, its something called boot camp, and it comes already with OS X. You will be on the very basic side of graphics since the gpu is low mid range, and remind you its a notebook gpu.
