cd key problem

hi! i currently bought the rome total war gold edition. inside the cd case there is a cd key. While installing the game i didnt use the cd key at all! Now that i am trying to play multiplayer mode through game spy arcade when im trying to join a game, rome total war loads but it says "invalid cd key" what should i do?? how should i use my original cd key? plz help!

not sure about gamespy, but if you try playing mutiplayer through the game main menu it will ask you for the key

i do not know why but when i select multiplayer and then online battles ti requests to enter a name which i assume it must be the login name of gamespy. after i do this it says logon failed-invalid cd key. wtf?

R u stupid? Hes lying(ie not telling the truth) if it is in his cd case and it doesnt work(probably) not for sure but in most case thts wat happens

If you read the previous posts, you'll see that even original cd-keys that are in the case can get declared invalid by Gayspy. The OP never asked for a cd-key to begin with so if anyone is stupid it's you for even mentioning that in the first place lol Learn to actually read the OP before you post.

Did you check your o's and 0's? and your 1's and l's? I recently had this issue where GS declared that after 4 years of using my key it was suddenly invalid. luckily there are idiots dumb enough to enter the CD key where their name should be. therefore one simply takes a screenie and waits one year for the nob to quit playing and then youve generally got a no longer used key. because clans keep such keys any member which for some reasons loses his old key immediately gets a new one. sadly for you, you aren't in one. guess you didnt need ingame life insurance huh.

Should be an option in the Multiplayer Menu to "Change CD Key" which is where you originally put it I believe. Unless my RTW is the one exception...

I think the OP already tried that. i did use to give CD keys to people that asked for it but TSG told me to stop acting like a soup kitchen since they were clan only. tough break for him.

Same goes for any human being that has a motivation to do so. politicians, Religious leaders, the IRS and ofcourse people that say without reading and thus go completely off and lie by accident.
