    Default bribing away huge armies

ok i noticed that on my julii campaign ( huge treasury ) its realy easy to bribe whole stacks of enemies to my side, like when i took capua ( the scipii's last city ) the 2 stacks they had close by turned to rebels, i quickly bribed 1 stack but the other refused, so i assassinated the general and bribed all his troops, in total i gained around 1600 men ( i was using normal unit size aka 40 guys per roman legionaire unit stuff like that ) and i was wondering is it normal for a huge army like that and a 5 star rebel general to join my side for ( in total ) 67k denarii. this thread is quite useless but i was curious about bribing since it seems so easy to build huge armies from bribed enemies ( only brutii, scipii, SPQR and campaignian rebels though ).

I am wondering why do you have many money. The lands that Julii expand into are very poor.

And if you expanded ahistorical, well you deserved it.

And, if a general has a loyal trait, you`ll need to spend more cash.

Well maybe you can do more stuff to florish your economy, or in a later stage when you conquer the Brutii and Scipii, you're not quite poor anymore..
And i like to bribe away rebel armies without general so i don't have to fight those armies who just keep annoying me with spawning how do you turn spawning rebel armies off? I'd like to minimize the spawning of rebel armies and increase the spawning of pirate ships can somebody help me?

I like bribing away enemy stacks in IB, because that's how it happened in the later years.

Mmm. Like nvm I don't usually have the money to afford bribes. I usually build armies the whole game and the only campaign I've play where I've had too much money has been the rebels and then it was only due to the fact that they couldn't recruit in most of their settlements so money just grew with no way of spending it except bribery.

I remember you using bribery in one of your campaigns! It was greek right? The last settlement? Something about finishing the game within a certain amount of turns? However, i would say that bribing is very very fun esp when you play on very hard for battle. Whoopie i don't have to fight anymore!

There a file in campaign that says sometime like Brigands with a number, the higher the number the lower spawn rate and there is also a line for pirates

Yeah I did it then, but normally wouldn't. I sold just about every building in my empire to finance the last-ditch bribe to finish the campaign in that turn. It was rather amusing

Are you playing unpatched? If so, patching to 1.5 will make bribing far more expensive.

Bribing works....when you get lucky. I bribed a few times for shiz and giggles [plus I had money to burn ] but it turned out all to be a stack of peasants and town watch. Total fail lol

I love to bribe away massive multi-general armies besieging one of my cities away. More generals!

Bribing is fun but I usually do it only on medium, because i chose very hard for a challenge, plus I can't afford bribing on very hard anyways
