    Default Single Campaign?

For some reason, when I start up Sicilian Vespers, I am given a windows prompt screen, which asks me to select a campaign and an event. I pick any of them, and it says error multiple times, then starts up the Renaissance Campaign. What did I install wrong?

    Dear Flakdragon,

That prompt script is the SicilianVespers Launcher menu. It is used to prepare the game files for whichever era you intend to play. You should use these alphabetic options until after a "Dynamic" event occurs within a game you're playing. The numeric values for "In-Game Event Selection" on that menu should be used after an in-game event instructs you to do so. These "Dynamic" events allow the game to change faction names based that game's historic events.

So, to play a game, insert the M2TW disk and "quit" when that game autostarts. With the M2TW disk still in it's drive, double click the SV icon on your desktop. When that launcher starts, pick one letter for the Era you want to play and press the “enter/return” key.

D = Darkage (Custom) Campaign start date of 888 A.D.
E = Early Era (Custom) Campaign start date of 1080 A.D
H = High (Custom) Campaign start date of 1212 A.D.
L = Late Era (Grand) Campaign start date of 1311 A.D.
R = Renaissance Era (Custom) Campaign start date of 1395 A.D.

The SV launcher script will automatically start up M2TW. Pick the faction you want and have at it.

Type "K" when you want to return to a game you started earlier. “K” = Keep the previous settings and takes your immediately to the game menu.

You can also check out the details described in “Chivalry II : SV 3.3 Release + Download” forum. Look for a post by StirFriedRice on December 07, 2009, 08:47 PM.

Enjoy the mod! Good luck and good gaming

    All the best,

Right, I followed instructions, pressed d, and it sent me to 1311, the High Ages campaign. At the same time, it had Saxony, not England, as the playable nation. I tried reinstall, but that doesn't seem to have done anything. I really like the one campaign, and I wish I could play the rest

I'm new to this mod too but I think I understand your problem - do you believe that you are in the High Ages Camp. because the loading screen says H.A.Camp?

I have this happening too and it is rather misleading. If you have the Saxons rather that the English tho (they occupy the bottom 3 provinces in Britain) then you are in the Dark Age Camp. I know, i'm playing it (check the start date on the strategy map = 888 iirc).

edit: The Dark Ages camp. is in the custom campaign folder.

No, for some reason, it looks like this: All of G.B but Scotland is owned by the Saxony. At the same time, it IS 1311, not 811.

Check out my edit - are you going into the custom campaign folder rather than the Imperial?

Flakdragon, I get the same error message:

    Access denied
    Access denied
    Access denied
However, once the game launches, I have no difficultly getting into the campaign I had selected in the DOS window, after selecting "Custom Campaign" from the single player menu.

    Does this help?

Yea, I should have said 'menu option' rather than 'folder'.

    Sorry. Very tired last night.
