I have a question about the battle deployment screen and weather

Ok in Empire total war and Napoleon I see as well, when the battle deployment screen loads and you can choose to attack, siege, etc I have noticed that the campaign tutorial lady mentions that you can view weather on this deployment screen. However in both games I have found no reference to weather on this screen at all (besides the fact that you can tell its winter or summer on the campaign map, but really how accurate is that information???)

So I might just be missing something or hoping for something that isnt there but either way it would be nice to clear this up. It would be nice to avoid battles in terrential downpours and such for example.

I think what that means is that you can see the weather in the background, and that's the weather that your battle will be fought in.
