    Default Problems with General Units

    Hi, just downloaded I.B. 7 and I'm having some issues.
    I'm currently playing as the ERE and not all my generals have the ability to rally. For some generals when the battle loads up there's no ability to preform a rally action. By that I mean that there's not even an icon that exists in the command panel. However some generals do have a rally button and it works fine. Between generals that have a rally button or don't there's no difference if there family members are not or how many command stars they have.
    Is this just part of the mod, or is something wrong with my installation of I.B 7 ?

    Maybe your are mistaken Captains with Family Members?

    Only named Family Members do have that ability.

    That's not the case. I know the difference between a captain and a general.

    Ok.

    Do these generals have different units?

    If "Yes" can tell me which units these are?

    Currently playing as Eastern Roman Empire. From what I have on hand. A general unit that did not have the ability to rally was Equites Catafractarii. They are heavy cavalry, have no missiles and start out as 41 units. A general unit that did have the ability to rally were Candidati. They are heavy cavalry and have no missiles and start out with 27 units.
    The general that was able to rally also had a Trait called "command talent" which the generals that could not rally did not have. But all generals have traits of some sought or another.

    The reason the general who has the Candidati as his bodyguard can rally is that in the export_descr_unit.txt file this unit has the attribute "generals_unit". Only units with this attribute has this ability to rally. And only family members have access to the Candidati, which explains why some units can rally and others can't.

    I think that's a fair trade off. You can't rally , but your general has catafractarii bodyguards.
