    Default London lives on!

So in my entire European French campaign i have been getting harrased over and over by the Britains.Blockading my ports raiding my trade routers etc.So after a while i got tired of it and decided to put my conquest of mainland Europe on hold and attack London. My theory was that since the had a good number of ports and probably the most ships of the entire game i decided to do kind of a sneak attack.First one failed hard since my ship and a few milita got sent down but i knew what to do. Taking a shorter route i sent Napoleon with a full stack of decently trained men to take over London. When i finally see the city i become awed by the sight of 3 FULL STACKS + Armed Citizens waiting for my army. With no way of turning back (Cortez style lulz) i attacked and managed to back off a bunch of attacks by all 3 of their armies. But my forces took quite a hit specially the cavalry and by their second wave of men there was no chance of me winning.I left if there thinking that i showed Britain not to **** with me and they didn't, for a few years they left me alone (not in peace but they barely attacked).

The conquest of mainland Europe was on full swing now having destroyed Austria and taken over most of Italy and moving into Russia while waiting for the winter to disperse. Suddenly most of my ports become blockaded and they even have the nerve to send some troops to take over some outer cities that border France, at this point i took a deep breath and counted to 10. Then i made my army which were the best troops France could have at this point and the most experienced; and led them to Britain my navy made a way for my Army and i marched into London yet again. This time i got attacked right when i was on the coast which was not much of an attack but more of a skirmish on their part since i shook it off like a nuisence.I march into London and find 2 full stacks as expected, after a long battle and many casualties i finally took over London and held them for a full 5 turns.I knew i could not hold the city anymore since they kept sending wave after wave of men into my ranks so after the first few turns i decided to burn everything.Their farms, their schools, their stables, ports , trade centers, towns, absolutely everything in London was burned to the ground before my army got destroyed and Napelon sent back to France. For the remainder of my European campaign, i did not see one British soldier anywhere else on the map. After i see one of their ships cruising by i notice that their flags had changed which was probably due to a rebellion that occured because of my destroying everything that London was worth.

    What flags did they have?

Aye brother, that's the one! It was quite a sight seeing the British empire reduced to a few men and a couple of ships

It's the St Georges cross (Englands flag) and in the top right and the bottom left squares is the St Andrews cross (Scotlands flag).

It's called St. George's flag, and the Union Jack is the Union Flag unless it's flown on a ship, where it is called the Union Jack.

Yeah, where London is concerned, the safest bet for eliminating British power is to take London, reduce it to rubble, go for Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, (l like to liberate, so I usually liberate the Scots and the Irish), and then get back to Wales with a strong army (after giving London back to England, which is now just the equivalent of an Anglo-Saxon kingdom). This gives me peace with England, and guarantees that they will not be a big headache anymore.

I'm glad people are having trouble invading the Brits, the way it should be.

I will bear that in mind in my Prussia campaign. I've yet to attack Great Britain with anyone yet, so I haven't experienced them becoming a Republic.

Ive just started an invasion of britain on my french campaign, i took london and wales, but there was a rebellion in England and now Marshal Ney is under siege in London facing a full stack of units that all have 3 chevrons of experience each for some reason.

If prohibition came to the UK (beer is far better than wine and thus any imposition of wine over beer becomes prohibition), I'd expect a similar reaction from the british of today.

Take away a British's man's bear, and he'll come at you like a mad dog.

    Thus the 3 Chevrons.
