Default Some questions I need to ask...

The questions are about 3.5.3b version

1.) Do the Marian Reforms trigger the same way as before?

2.) Does the game crash on about 65 BC (the civil war thing)?

3.) Are there any imperial units later (the Augustine ones ) ???

4.) Will there be a Pergamum faction in version 4.0 ?

    1) Yes.

    2) Yes. The game can't play more turns than that...if we start in 279, it would crash in 64.

    3) No. Since you can't play late enough for them to become relevant, we removed them to make room for relevant units. The files still exist, though, so you can add them back in if you like.

    4) Sort of. They'll be part of the Greek superfaction.

thanks Quinn . But is it years passed that triggers civil war? If I had a mod starting at 1000 BC would it crash on 786 BC ?

    No problem.

I don't think so. As I understand it, it's a hard-coded limit to the number of turns in a single game.

Not turns but years. If it had to do with turns a 4tpy mod Extended Realism would crash earlier than 2tpy RTRPE. anyway ...

No, I'm pretty sure I've read posts from other modders that it's turns. Limes ran into this same issue with 4tpy.

This thread details a method which the Roma Surrectum team apparently implemented to get around the 66BC issue.

Unfortunately I've no idea if it's a permanent fix or not, and have been unable to find out anything to indicate this. I'm sure it's probably something which has been looked into in the past, but I thought I would raise it again.

Quinn, if this does work it could go into 4.0?

Yes. Personally, I think you really ought to stop playing by 66, anyway, since we can't replicate the barbarian invasions or changed political situation of that period, but if people want to play longer I'm not going to tell them "no."
