smoke effects

Hey everyone.

What graphic setting do I need to do to get the smoke effects? as of now, the smoke disappears as soon as the muskets are fired. I see a muzzleflash and smoke, and then poof, its all gone. is there a visual options setting I need to be using?

In the graphic options, set Particles to Ultra. Turn volumetric effects on if you want the smoke to move with the wind.

what if i cant access ultra? the smoke effects look worse than they did in empire...
