Naval battles and difficulty level.

I don't know why I never thought of this before, but I always play my battles on VH difficulty and ever since ETW came out I've always felt I was just awful at naval battles. For some reason I never thought that the VH battle difficulty translated to the Naval stuff...now I like it on land, but is there a way to separate them, maybe there is something in a file that can be altered?

How much does it effect the AI being on VH in naval battles, is their firepower and defense upgraded a lot?

Im pretty sure it does nothing for the AI in the battle, its all stat padding AFAIK...

Yeah, I know that, what is enhanced though?

Id wager the enemy fleets hull strength and firepower ratings are buffed like crazy not to mention sail strength and possibly speed...

I always play on N/N cuz i hate the stat padding so i can only guess

I see now, I always wondered why they seemed to always move better than me and take and receive fire so well.

I thought I was just born to suck at naval battles.
