WHat will be the next STANDALONE Total War?

SO what do you think will be the next STANDALONE Total War, not the expansion for NTW.

After playing Square Enix's "Order of War", set in WWII, I think it is entirly possible for the Creative Assembly to create a "World War Total War" Starting the campaign in 1914 - 1945 or 2 seperate campaigns. I would like to see that, With the entire world as the campaign map!

But many people would like to got back to swords! I too am in favour of RTW2, or a Shogun 2, I think it may be time to go into Asia, to expand CA's TW empire.

Hopefully rome, NTW is a flop

I wouldn't mind another Medieval tw covering the entire globe.

This would also include Japan so you could probably combine a MTW and a STW together.

RTW2 would be cool also.

Considering how popular Rome was, and that we've already had 2 medieval period games i predict Rome 2, and i would really enjoy it.

It would be good if they do 1815---1900 big campaing map rise of germany,italy,japan,weakning of ottoman empire,rise of balkan nationolism*,balance of power ,great game at asia,scramble for africa

R2TW is the most likely title in my opinion. Rome 1 was the best critically received of all TW titles and, to my knowledge, the best-selling as well.

What about "United States Civil War: Total War" about the "Guerre de Sécession" (how do you say in English?) featuring the Confederate states against the Northern States. That would be great!

I'm with mavyalex... American Civil War!

Why? Because they have just made this massive engine for gunpowder based units why would they abandon that and go back to Rome???? It will be somewhere in this genre and the American Civil War will be very easy for them to make now!



No Rome 2 yet people! just play the mods they are better anyway!

I can't see how they would do WWI.

20 units of identical infantry, cowering in a trench being hammered by artillery and poison gas...then running across an open field into barbed wire and machine guns...

You know Western Front wasn't the only fighting place! All other fronts were mobile! There was no stalemate!

Order of War did it! Why can't TW, just need to tinker with the engine, a little! OoW and TW are really similar games!

WOW guys are we doomed to have this discussion forever, as i read through this, the third thread now about this, its all the same arguments on each side

You guys would be better off just reading through the 1000 pages of the other identical threads to this one
