Reinstall & Crashing on Startup

I've Empire since launch, and it has been working for me without any major hiccups. Recently I had to upgrade from Windows 7 RC to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and I haven't gotten empire working since then. I installed it and steam applied the patches, but when I go to start it up it gets to the first splash screen and then crashes (says Empire has stopped working). My system is:

Graphics: 8800 GT
Processor: Core2 quad Q9550
Ram: 3 GB DDR2

I thought it was a nvidia driver issue, but I've installed 191.07 (what I had before) and still no luck. Funny thing is I can still play it on my Windows 7 RC partition, but that's gonna stop working whenever it is that Microsoft pulls the plug on the RC.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

as it a full reinst where you deleted the Empire folders in Steam and The Creative Assembly?

Make sure you clear out your scripts folder. Any old mod files in there will cause the crashes.

Thanks cleared out the scripts folder, and now I'm back in business. Great help .
