Resupply Question

Ive noticed that sometimes my army doesnt get resupplied when its in one of my regions but an allies army in the same region was getting resupplied.

I had captured Hessen-Kessel and it had a supply warehouse there and my allies (the Prussians) had placed an army in the region to stave off the French, and while the Prussian army was in the region it was being resupplied but i had an army that had just fought off a massive French force led by Nappy, but my army wasnt being resupplied....

Does the army have to be near the supply depot or a road to be resupplied?

I know it helps to place the army in a town or region capitol but ive seen armies being resupplies as they travel through a region.

Did this army have a general? Or was it lead by a captain, because to resupply in the field an army needs a general.

You mean, to resupply in the field an army needs a General.

Any forces in a City (not town) will resupply. Any units outside a city need a General...and a supply point of course.

Ahhhh.... Ok that makes sense, the Prussian army did have a general, i dont really remember if mine did but i guess not

Ive put armies without generals into a town (eg - mine, farm, factory etc) and they resupply

Rereading it in the manual it does say in any settlement.
