Default My suggestions for next release

My suggestions for maybe the next release.

First of all i have to say that this mod is great. Really it's the best and most polished mod i'v ever played for RTW.

But it could always be even better

    - Fixing a couple of bugs, such as a bug when starting custom battle on some of the maps the game crashes
    - Some little fixing here and there, such as the report you get when the enemy's forces have melted away, or a faction destroyed in which it said that the strings or text is missing or something like that. And little fixing of images missing when clicking on a bank or other buildings. And more little things ..
    - Being able to fight night battles on campaign
    - Having certain mercenary types spawn more realistic, for example Not being able to recruit vikings in southern italy or spain. but there are more examples like this.
    - Having new animations implemented, especially for the cannons
    - Checking short campaign or not doens't make any difference in this version. Maybe having the winning conditions implemented too for each faction.
    - Having the Camels(raiders) back
    - Having the Aztecs work.
    - Fixing the appearance of the years, in stead of middle ages all the time.
    - Having late medieval units, like gunpowder units. Appearing when your faction is developed enough, not time scripted.
    - Diplomacy can always be better, lot of times certain factions attack for no reason, even when we are strong allies with millitary acces for each of us. And having certain factions accept becoming a protectorate when they have no chance of surviving my might and they only have one or 2 cities left.
    - Implementing religion. Having priests and imams roaming on the campaignmap like it was in M2TW. Having them influence population happiness in your own territory, but also having an increased riot chance having them standing on territory of faction with another religion.
    - Implementing the pope in the same way it worked in M2TW. Being able to call for crusades. But also having the islamic factions be able to call for jihads by their Imams. An Imam with high influence in his traits will have the other islamic factions be more moblized.
    - Being able to train Basic units of other factions when conquering their lands. And not being able to train all of your own factions units on all of the campaign map. It wouldn't make sense to being able to train vikings in egypt or camels in england.
    - Having troops respond in different language, such as in Latin or Arabic
    - New media, such as intro videos for factions and the start of game. Implement new sounds/music.
    - Maybe having some more factions, such as Lithuania and Portugal.
    - Of course more units is NOT always better, as long as they are diverse. I rather have a few but diverse units for every faction then a lot of the same units for every faction.

I know it's a lot, but they are just suggestions and ideas. You are the guys who do all the hard work.

    RM3 is a great mod 10/10

We can implement religion but I don't think it's possible to have religious characters in the strat map, although it is possible that we add priests and Imams as part of a general's retinue to convert the city the general's in. And WARmonger is working on a sound mod so troops respond in those languages.

I think the province of Lithuania should be broken up into two or three provinces. Otherwise it seems the Russians too easily steamroll the Teutonic Order.

Another place where more provinces should be added is northern Spain. Within ten years, the Moors usually have by far the most provinces in the game and the Spanish are either wiped out or still stuck at 3 cities.

Also, I personally like the map better when cities were closer together. When they're this far apart, yes the game moves slower, but its just not realistic. I mean it can take you three years to get a diplomat from Normandy to southern France. Maybe try doing what Chivalry:Total War did, they made it so that your units have lots more movement points. This enables cities further apart and a bigger map, but a little more realism. (I mainly say this because it gets annoying taking years chasing down tiny Russian armies in my Teutonic Knights campaign)

That's just my two cents though. Great mod no matter what anyone else says.

EDIT: The other thing I personally changed in the descr_units file was the charge bonus of cavalry. I usually add about 10 points to the charge value because the cavalry charge was the main tactic of the middle ages and what with every unit having 2 hitpoints, an attack of 9 coupled with a charge bonus of 10 just doesn't do enough damage.

A Real-Combat system if possible is a nice addition.

I think most of the cavalry units are very powerful as they are now. A greater charge bonus (10 more points is a great deal), considering that the wedge formation is enabled, would make them unstoppable. I invite you to join the active RM3 hamachi network to make some tests regarding charge bonus.

Anyway, thanks for all your suggestions
