Playing as Britain VH/VH it's currently the start of 1807, the Royal Navy has the upper hand at present, but the French are being a pain with all their continental ports, so I have my fleets spread out quite thin. (I don't like to blockade the ports as I feel the AI can't realy handle it.)

The bandit Napoleon is pushing through Prussia and Austria, Austria being down to only their two eastern most regions, last year I sent the 1st KGL to Prussia to help defend Berlin with Blucher, but we lost the battle and my Expeditionary Force was wiped out by Napoleon himself shortly thereafter (although they managed to maul his lot quite well and wounded the Emperor - which slowed down their eastern Blitz)

I've now sent in the 1st KGL (the replacement of the original) and the 1st Brunswickers to support the Prussians and Austrians, but at the moment they're basicly running around in the snow trying to avoid the French Marshals and meet up with Blucher or the remaining Austrians in the South - or find a good defensive position for a fixed battle (like a Bridge.)

Other than that I have two Regiments (4 line, 1 Light each) in Gibraltar, which is currently under siege by a full Spanish stack.

So far it's damn good fun.

    No screenies yet I'm afraid.

I'm playing as Austria on H/H and just completed the victory conditions after reclaiming Piedmont-Liguria from the spanish who took it from Italy (my protectorate).
My empire now stretches from the Istanbul at Black sea to Amsterdam and Oldenburg at the northwestern coast of Europe.
But the French-Spanish treath is far from over and I will not stop until they are defeated.
My former allies, Prussia, Great Britain and Russia is not to be trusted either. Our relations have been a bit tense since I took my rightful claims in Podolia and Silesia and the british now have a foothold in Greece, which earlier also was my protectorate.
But it wasn't worth declaring war on the british, I didn't need that region anyways and it is surronded by my troops so it doesn't really matter whatever they send there.

    The game is truly awesome

Sry, but no screenies of my epic empire :/

In my campaign as Prussia on H/H I have just conquered almost all of France (all except Brittany and the province of Bordeaux - Brittany = independent / Bordeaux = Kingdom of Sicily) and I am currently sending 5-6 full stack armies to the Pyrenees(sp?) in order to deal with the Spanish threat. The year is (mid) 1809. My recent campaign against France was started by the request of the Austrians, as they offered Switzerland in exchange for my involvement in their war.
The Austrians have just launched an attack on Northern Italy (they have captured Milan and Torino) and Strassbourg, but they failed to secure Strassbourg against rebellion uprisings (after they lost it, I took it from the rebels). The remaining French is trapped on Corsica and I haven't seen Napoleon since I saw him at Torino a long time ago.

After I am done with the Spanish I am going to attack the Papal States, Kingdom of Sicily and the Kingdom of Naples to form an United Italy. After that I will have to deal with the problem that is securing the remaining provinces needed for a victory (Bohemia, Bavaria and Hessen) as all of them are owned by nations I am allied to.
The British and the Russians have been doing nada throughout the whole war.

My Protectorates are Greece, Belgium, the United Netherlands and Brittany. A few turns ago I had Catalonia, Switzerland and Italy as protectorates aswell, but thanks to Austrian and Spanish intervention they got destroyed.
Oh right, I also have Rumelia and the region north of it under my control. The conquering of those two were a response to a DOW from the (late) Ottomans.

In my French campaign I'm currently, or rather have just currently conquered Italy. My next goal is the east of Italy, then the Rhineland and the border going south, then spain. After this it'll be England and wales. Scotland Ireland and all the other areas will be liberated, beside the larger nations like russia and germany... so basically I'm making what Napoleon wanted, effectively a new Roman empire.

Quick question though. Is napoleons european campaign time limited? is 1812 the very limit? or can we continue as in the coalition? it's just a rumoar that I heard you see.

    Thanks.

    God save the Queen.

If you rush (ie go straight for objectives) and don't pay a large focus on building up your economy, you can take care of most games in 40-50 turns. Personally, I set out a territory 'goal' and work towards that. My goal with Austria (VH/VH) was below.

As you can see, most games are more or less over by around turn 40. After that, normally I have some fun going down the tech tree and building up my economy and maxing out the buildings in all my regions. Finally, I test out ideal army/unit make-ups against the last few nations.

Rushing is never fun for me.

The AI takes some time to build up, more so than the player. I usually make a few opening moves, establish naval presence, and sit mostly idle for 10 turns or so to let the AI factions get a leg up.

So he embraced Islam, and was martyred. Allah's Apostle said, 'A Little work, but a great reward.'"

Well today i strated a new campaign and i ACTUALLY focused on my economy Ive come up with a tactic were i loot and illage random towns in france sometimes not losing a single man that money upgraded my economy, now i dont have to do that because my economy is so good that i could probably support 3-4 decent stacks while still making 1000-2000 dollars but since i have 2 i make about 10,000 dollars a turn

So far I've beat it four times (N/N). Beat it with both Prussia and England conquering the whole map. Then beat it with France conquering about 90% of the map (all hostile combatants, left my allies and a few neutrals alone). Today I finished my second English campaign, where I just conquered France (all territories), Hannover, the Baeleric Islands, and Gibraltar, and the rest of the French/Spanish Empire as vassals. Now I'm working on Napoleon's battles.

Playing Prussia I took Saxony, Mecklenburg (to have a second port) and Hessen early. I've taken it easy after that, building up the economy (you can occupy three of the four trade nodes in the North Atlantic without interference). It is now april 1806 and I'm very rich. The French haven't declared war yet, which is not surprising since they are losing the war against the allies. Russia has taken a foothold in Italy and the Austrians are in Switserland and Bavaria. I'm going to try and stay out of the war as long as I can and then join the losing side.

I've played all major countries now. For me, a game never lasts past 1807. By then the outcome is clear and the fun is gone. But I have to admit I love NTW.

Just got total world domination last night as Prussia in the mastery of Europe campaign. It was the first time I have stuck with a campaign long enough to capture every single region. Usually I get bored because it's so easy, but NTW did a great job of making me really pissed off at a few countries and I had to finish them.

Playing as the French with H/N difficulty. I'm conquered everything west of Warsaw pretty much except Britain and Spain. I've had taxes set to the lowest since turn 8 and make plenty of money in trade, although tax income is starting to catch up to that. My plan is to liberate Warsaw and create a Poland buffer state between France and Russia by granting them more bordering territories. Once I do that, I'll invade Russia and Britain at the same time.
