Okay, so, um, I have a good sound card, a good computer, and can run this game on ultras.. but does anyone know how to set up sound for surround sound speakers and what the best options are? I'm ignorant of this.

This is about the sound settings in Napoleon, not just about my tech. I just want to know if anyone knows what to set this up as to sound reaaaal good. It's Napoleon related.
Well if you have your system set up correctly then you should get the best sound quality. I have the same set up and everything comes through crystal clear.
Well, set it up the speakers according to instructions...
Fiddle with your soundcard to get some good noise, make sure you have surround-sound, etc.
Napoleon has several different sound settings. I use a 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound headset, and it sounds great when I have the sound settings to Dolby surround sound. You may want to try that yourself.
There's also 5.1 discreet, 7.1 discreet, etc., etc. Try that and see if you get better quality--it may be that the Dolby setting is for virtual surround sound, and selecting 5.1 discreet will be the better choice.
Worse comes to worst, though and you can't tell the difference, just leave it at Windows default

In light of the Total War series, a quote from the theologian whom I respect the most:
The Heavenly City outshines Rome, beyond comparison. There, instead of victory, is truth; instead of high rank, holiness.

Is sound cache a good thing? And increasing the memory?
Anyone know?
