ummm... can someone tell me what the sarmatian royal tombs actually do?
and, are the Agrigentum Temples in the wrong place, cos the thing on the strat map shows that its in the region occupied by Syracuse, but the actual 'building' is in Lilibeo.

The stratmap model in Syracause region is IIRC a artfact from a previous version which was forget to be deleted.
From edb:
XSamatanSarmatian Tombs bonuses:
recruits_morale_bonus bonus 1 requires factions { pontus, } and hidden_resource variantea
trade_base_income_bonus bonus 1 requires hidden_resource variantea
considering the position of the tombs, it doesn't do anything, then... cos the variantea hidden resource wasn't in Gava Aursa where the tombs are supposed to be...
hmmm... is this one of the things that the EB team missed?
Nanananananana
yes, I checked in descr_regions.txt and the hidden resource was missing
I think the 'variantea' line should be changed to some other resource present in Gava Aursa
Nanananananana
Thanks for reporting it!
I'll note that, but cannot say when and if it will be fixed.
XSamatan
hmm... i'm thinking of releasing a patch for the fix...or a tutorial on how to fix it...lol

btw what's the morale bonus supposed to be for?
apparently it's only for the Saka Rauka.... which I don't get as well.
Nanananananana
If it doesn't work why do the team use it so much? Why not replace it with other "real" bonusses instead?
The buildings were statted when people still assumed the bonus worked. EB's buildings haven't been reworked in a long time, and now the team has moved on to EB2.
Well that would explain it - maybe one can automatically replace all "morale" with "exp"? Worth a try, but will make those bonusses stronger and potentially unbalanced.
it would be better to just get rid of it...

I'm not sure I agree. Those temples giving for example +3 morale and +15 happiness would be utterly useless then. Maybe a lesser exp-bonus is in order - exchanging +2 and +3 morale with +1 exp or something like that.
Funny how many ppl still insist on building Mars-temples as Rome, when they are clearly the most useless. Old habits die hard I guess...
Actually Mars Temple in Rome is one of the best things for educating generals. I cannot prove it, of course, it is my gut feeling, but a greater number of FMs who stay in Rome in my campaign tend to acquire stars. True, not so many as a general in the field, who has killed a bunch of enemy soldiers, but still.
You can choose a temple that will give you double the public order bonus and/or a trade or tax bonus. That means more money every season and less chance of a rebellion. In vanilla Mars tended to give your generals negative vices, but I don't know if that has been fixed - seems fair to me that a war-god should give good generals. Maybe you have other good buildings in Roma?
There are theories about the morale bonus, that say it works just in the province the bonus is gained. Sadly you can't measure morale exactly.
However, changing it to experience would unbalance it way too much (due to the RTW system of gained weapon points). So you would have to re-write all those temples and buildings to another purpose and keep it balanced enough. IIRC the change to experience was done by one guy over at the org-forum, you may want to search there.

I'll try that, thanks.

Experience needs reworking, because adding so much attacking ability is wrong, and I'm saying that even though I currently have golden accensi and a double golden general. If experience can be transformed in increased defense, morale and sometimes attack it would be better. Still, too much of morale is not a good thing.
by getting buildings like temple of mars to allow for more chances of getting certain good traits, it would - I think - make them worth the mnai taken to build them
but then again, those buildings would only be for generals and FMs
