HMS Victory missing?

I just read in a mod topic that the HMS Victory is missing. As a customer who bought the Special Forces Edition of ETW I feel like taken for a ride by CA. I paid an extra price for the Victory in ETW and now that the ship is even mentioned in the intro and is very important during the time the game takes place it is....missing?

What about the english coalition campaign? Wouldn't it make absolutely sense being able to build the ship there? And now they say it's only possible with a mod??

Is there any reason for this? I'm still considering whether to buy the game, or not. If CA tries to pull off another DLC offensive with the missing units I'm not going to give them one damn coin.

HMS Victory was just an ordinary 1st Rate until made famous by the actions of Nelson at Trafalgar. You don't need a special HMS Victory unit, you just need to rename a 1st Rate. His ship in the game is called HMS Rose (I checked, Rose was actually a 6th rate), so just change the name of Nelson's ship to Victory.

In ETW it had a special model. I know the historic facts, but this is not reality, it's a game. And I just hate CA cutting content that should be in and already was in the game before. I'd bet my ass that the Victory will come as a DLC and that just makes me very angry.

Why show the Victory in the intro and then not include it in the game?

I also wouldn't want to use the AUM-mod. Yes, it's nice work, but I want to use only essential mods.

The thing is though that if tjere is a HMS Elephant special unit then there should be HMS Victory too.

But it was not historically accurate. The HMS Victory fought in the battle of Trafalgar and the campaign starts at 1805, so it should be available from the beginning.

No sherlock! That video was alternate history, thats why it shows Napoleon successfully invading England.

And i'm sure modders will come up with something, the AUM already has it I think.

As Kurfuerst said, in the intro video Napoleon burns the ship, thats why its not available anymore
