[HoI3] Allies declared war on France

I'm playing as Finland, before the war with USSR I made an alliance with UK but I was moving towards Axis. After USSR declared war on me, I was one of the few European countries not in a faction, the others being Romania, Spain and Portugal. Realising the only way I could win against the USSR is if I was an Axis member, I pushed hard to become one. So I became an Axis member and Germany attack the USSR, problem was they were having a hard time beating France and couldn't provide enough men to fight the Russians. I knew if Italy attacked France, France would lose and Germany could better help me with the russians. So i declared war on France and all the Axis members did too (mainly Italy) but out of no where so did UK and all its allies, which is the whole allies faction; but France is still an allies member

Churchill did declare war against Vichy.

is this patch 1.3?

Should be - patch 1.3 only allows the game to operate in playable level, not bug free, not even close to that.

Either way, HoI3 has quite a strange AI - I have seen Commonwealth force land themselves on Europe one by one, first by New Zealand, then Australia, then finally Canada. Each of them chose different landing sites - France, Netherland/Germany, Poland (ya, Canada liberated Poland in my Nationalist China game by landing five divisions on Danzig).
