Revolution!

Is this mechanic present in NTW? I downloaded a mod that allowed me to play as the French in the coalition campaign setting and I made a splinter faction (French Rebels) but was never given the option to side with them like in ETW.

The manual says it is there but I haven’t tried to bring one about.

Were the rebels in your home region or another? That could be the difference. I think Normandy can emerge as a faction.

I'm sure spain had 1 in my MoE camapign

I've had two Revolution's yet... playing as Britain and Prussia. Both times I had the option to stay with the old government or to ally with the rebells which did actually change the flag and the government system.

in two of my casmpaigns britain became a republic

did the upper-class or lower-class revolt?

i forgot to mention that GB was AI controlled both times

In the game manuel it says that revolutions occur when the population in your capital region is to unhappy. This is something you do not need to worry about playing as the french it says. That could explain why you dont get revolutions as the french

So we CAN'T restore the Bourbons except as Spain storming Paris (technically)?

Does Britian changed it's flag, or does it stay the Union Jack?

I just set up a scenario in which the upper class would revolt and theoretically install the Bourbons. All that happens is a Rebel France faction takes Paris and business goes on as usual. Kind of a disappointment, but at least you can still do revolutions with the other factions.

Well, I guess I can see that.

The game is about Napoleon Bonaparte and I doubt that Fat Louie would want to keep him around.

Looks like the only way Bourbons are going to get restored to France is that if Spain storm's Paris.

So technically if I want to have GB as a Republic in my campaing, I have to raise the tax for the lower class....so that they revolt.....but I have Middle class and Nobles now, as I have Constitutional Monarchy. Do I have to first let the Nobles revolt for a Absolute Monarchy and then have the lower class revolt for Republic or can I just have the Middle class revolt???

Any ideas...I would love to play The Republic of Britain..instead of the King and its Parlament stuff...I want democracy...... btw....too bad I can't legalize Pot in Holand....Amsterdam would be very very happy

on a side note, is it only me or is Spain kind of weak....or bether yet said ?? they have a few bigger armies in Spain and they only attack Gibraltar, if I am still holding it wih GB, but I usually give it away to Portugal for Military access, trade and alliance...as it is rather hard to hold on to it, but besides that I have never seen Spain do anything else....Austria at least tries to dish it out with France.
