Anyone seeing Dances with Wolves over and over?

You know, that scene early on when it's in the civil war and he rides his horse out in front of the enemy line?

Well, it seems to happen in about 25% of the battles with the AI so far. I get my line moving to setup, they start getting there line in order and then a cav group (or multiples) run right across the middle between everyone (and get mauled by my troops that I can stop in time to setup and shoot.)

Sure does put a hamper on the AIs ability to wage a battle when their general goes and gets killed/wounded for no reason at all.

Anyone else seeing this? Should I upload some saves?

It happens a lot.

As in they don't make a wide arc to flank, but rather swerve across the battlefield in range and get shot to hell...

It was suggested by some others that if you have any arty and some lite infantry on the flanks, they will almost always send the general over to self-sacrifice...

I actually watched in amazement as one group funneled down a path toward my lite troops and ran headlong into their planted stakes - wiped out their entire cav unit...

Yup. That's exactly it.

Sure it a stupid bug. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Most times they won't even commit to the final charge, as if the AI suddenly realizes what's wrong and tries to abort...

i find the general usually turns around but at least one cavalry unit will usually "test the waters" so to speak and get mauled by muskets.

I see this happening a lot too, even while defending. They usually send cavalry/bodyguard units right across my line. It turns the battlefield into a shooting gallery!

Should I upload some saves?

That would not be nessesary, lol I think that most players have seen this
on several occasions
