    Icon5 Unit Attributes Questions

    Hey guys, I got some questions about the unit attributes that show in edu (like sea-faring, hide_anywhere and so on). So, if you are a modding crack, have a quick glance and drop some lines if you want.

    1.) There is a attribute mentioned called mercenary_unit: Does it do something? I think not, cause I checked it out with the lossarnach axes - and added them as mercs for Rohan and got unspecific error when starting game. But maybe i did something wrong - it would be to cute to add mercs to other factions without having to do the textures for every faction.

    2.) Do you now the command for a unit starting with fire arrows turned on, like start_fire_arrow or smthg?
    There must be such a command since when you commence a night battle your archers, as you probably all know, start with the fire arrow on. I don't know where to look it up, so please help if you know.

    3.) Is there a posibility of letting a ranged unit start battle with free_shooting turned off? I'm thinking of a hide_anywhere archer unit here, I want to prevent that they dismask their position too early because the player forgot to turn the free_shooting off. Nothing important, just to round it up.

    Btw I hope this is the right place for this questions; my threads have been moved in the past or totally stayed unanswered, so please tell me if I'm doing something wrong. I'm normally, that is bedides TATW, not really interested in forums so much so please be kind if I made mistakes.

    Thx for the quick reply. Well, I was concerned because there are "deeper" sections of this forum, that I didn't manage to get familiar with - like the TWC University for example and I thought maybe there's some place I donn't know yet. Futhermore there is a Med2 modding section and since my questions are not limited to TA, I wondered if I should go there - I just do have more experience and confidence in the TA community, since I found and used this forum ONLY to get information about this TA, some two or three years ago.

    well the thread ain't moved since the post so i think your'e safe here they are quite strict on this forum conceirning misplaced posts

    Ok meanwhile I found out, what the merc_unit is about,

    but what's up with this forum?
    Why don't you get answers here on noob questions?
    Not even an "I don't know" or "this questions are too noob" or "check out this tutorials" -
    I have no more trust in this forum - in my personal experience noobies are treated quite harsh here -
    if you modding pro's want to be on your own well - I understood
