Default Napoleon Total War and Coca Cola Zero

Napoleon Total War just got in a few days ago. Honestly, it makes me think of the Coca Cola Zero commercials: Napoleon Total War: Empire, as it should've been!
Really, I feel raped. Full price for an expasion pack? And, to be really honest, I'd rather have them finish Empire and charge another 10 bucks for an allfixing patch. Because quite frankly, half the issues of Empire aren't even fing FIXED!
So, I start up the game. First thing I see: the loading screen. Just for fun, get the initial loading screen from Empire, and that of Napoleon. It's EXACTLY the same, except for Napoleon instead of Empire and some dates. This is basically the drill of the whole game. Hey they had that in Empire! It's slightly better! OK let's play a battle. Oh the BAI is still crap.

To be really honest, if this is the state in which Empire was delivired, I'd have given this a 7. Now I give Empire a 5. Napoleon will have to do with a 6/10.
    Exactly.

is already lots of threads about this, and i do not think this is a review...

Its not a expansion pack, its a standalone game. Yes, its closely built around ETW, but if by expansion pack means i can play it without having that train wreck of a game ETW installed on my machine, then i love the fact i paid money for it

I'm just glad it's standalone. Expansion packs FORCE you to pay for the previous game. But standalone games don't, hence the decision to make it a stanalone game is better.

i think NTW is not so much better than ETW. maybe it even isn't. both are simply a bad joke. good look and nothing behind. the physics lack something of the realism of "company of heroes". COH is already an old game now. but it's graphic engine seems to be still unbeaten. this synchron movements in ETW/NTW just make me sick. there were so many (could have been more) good features in ETW (and many good ones in M2TW like the prisoner system), but NTW even removed many of them.

it's really just an expansion pack with not much of a change. CA just copied its own game. embarassing. (only revolutionary good thing they added are the MP features). i hope they at least gave enough potential for modders to create a brilliant complete overhaul like "europa barbarorum".

that will make us wait another 2 years. so i'll continue playing "stainless steel" and "europa barbarorum" and will faithfully wait for "dominion of the sword".

im sorry, i dont normally laugh at other peoples views but Company of Heroes as a example of 'realism'? Come on, Its pretty much just drag and click like command and conquer. As nice as it can look, i wouldnt try and compare it to NTW.

I think that CoH is realistic in how it looks, but it's definately not realistic.
In NTW the only addition that I liked (and which I think is AWESOME, but ridiculously OP) is the liberation thing.
    Exactly.
