Steam Support
i just recently had my steam account hijacked and reported it to steam support. havent heard back from them in 72 hours. Anybody who has had a hijacked account issue, is this normal for them? they said that providing a proof of purchase should speed the process, and i did, so 3 days without a response from a human is just out of the question in my opinion.

Re: Steam Support
Hi there fenwayb,
I guess this is part of the "excellence" of Steam right there I suppose...
Had I known earlier for sure that this stuff was a part of the new NTW (I have installed it, but not played it yet, I will get there later on, someday...), I would probably never bothered to getting it (ok, ok it was a gift. Still it is annoying to be forced to reactivate a wretched steam-account I had willingly forgotten all about since Empire...). For me, "Steam" seems to virtually be as bad solution as it gets for PC-games. Others might certainly have different opinions on that but that is their privilidge and headache...
- Cheers

Re: Steam Support
Yeah it might take awhile. I personally love steam-it's great. But considering they have some 25 million active accounts, and it seems that half the internet users are unable to install simple programs without calling tech support, it might take a few more days to hear back from steam's support.

Re: Steam Support
yea you probally have a week or so before they get back to you, and if you case is anything like mine, youll get a message saying it wasnt hacked, even though you provided proof of purchase, for them to fix it the next day without any recognition of being wrong
