    Default Landing Troops

Whenever i land an army in a port, even if its my own port, they lose all of their movement points as if i had just landed on the coast

Is this a new "feature"? Anyone else notice this?

its also impossible to land spies, only way to do it is to click on a town and click one of spying options

Yep in NTW its like that, wonder why the change. I like the idea if you landed in a port you still had movement points. Wonder if this is some sort of bug...

I could have sworn i saw the AI land in a port then immediately move to attack...

Having the ability to move your army right after disembarking in a port actually adds some more strategy IMO

I am pretty sure I land on ports and able to move.. not 100%, but pretty sure.. maybe you moved too much at sea (with admiral mod, and tech mods, etc)... that you couldn't move at port (with cannons being slow, etc)

    Well, let's see:

Your troops spend several weeks on-board a crowded, uncomfortable ship. They land in a wealthy port full of drinks, inns, and women. They're tired and need rest.

Do you think a just-landed, tired army will want to march 10 miles?

Makes sense with this game. Spending 2 weeks (which is about what turns are) in or near the port you land it is not unthinkeable, the time being used to open supply lines and get organized.
Forget the Cod this man needs a Sturgeon!
