I never really bothered with this kind of missions. If there are no real rewards(esp early on) then they aren't really beneficial.

Wait, they give you more weird missions. This is not so weird but they give you wait! That senate don't know what they want exactly.

Bah romans have something against gauls its always been like that. Thats why you can be in a pretty difficult position if you are close by, like gauls.

I often have such mission.Event stranger.Like "take this city and your gratitude will increase" or "game will be held for you" blah blah.One time they give me a mission to kill the Armenian general while I still not contact with them and it take more than 10 turn to shipping my best assassin from Rome to there

i got one mission that told me to forfeit a settlement i just captured to the julii (i was brutii) i didnt do it and nothing happened really. it was weird though because its not like i captured it from them

I would just ignore the mission. The gratitude given is about as much as you would receive for winning a medium sized battle, so I would usually try to fight and win a battle shortly after the deadline to make up for the loss of respect. Although senate gratitude barely increases until you start blitzing whole nations, so it shouldnt matter too much.

Hi there.
The making peace mission is quite difficult to complete. If you are not at war with the nation in question is is impossible. The mission can only be completed by making them a protectorate. But if you succed, it is quite rewarding in itself.
