    Hello

    When i'm defending in a siege battle, when my quarellers or thunderers are on the walls, only a really few of them fire on the ennemy (about 10 on 60). I don't know why. All of them fire only when the ennemy is really, really far. It is like if they had a really short shot angle. It happens too in fields battle. Ranged units shot with difficulty, but easier than on the wall. How can I fix that please ? It makes castle undefendable, because I can't shot the ennemy with efficiency.Thank you in advance, and sorry for the bad english cause I'm french.

    No, I've only posted several other files that I've modified more or less. The descr_projectiles.txt is for 3.01 (as all my files that are there), I've changed the values for crossbows to the original ones that are in M2 so now the entire unit fires when on walls.

    It worked

    I only changed the following things for the dwarves crossbowmen :

    max_angle 65
    velocity 20 80


    Now it's ok (for dwarves in any cases).

    I first changed the max_angle - without result , but I had to change velocity too.

    I hav'nt tried orc crossbowmen, perhaps that they need some change too.

    I hope that the team will edit those bugs.

    I just have to wait for next patch in order to start a new campaign without CTD ^^.

    It changes only how the crossbows fire for all factions. The rest are fine. I've checked everything with similar files from vanilla M2, TA and SS.

    It does for all the crossbowmen in any case. Orcs, Tilean, Dwarves and others...

    But me I prefered to keep the original COW descr_projectile.txt file, in order to keep the original ranges. I only changed the crossbowmen description in descr_projectile.txt.

    Just drag orignal to desktop it will make a copy. Open and edit the one still in folder, save then test. If you get a CTD. Drag orignal back into folder, click overwrite. Walla vannila restored.

    RedDwarf i followed your instructions about c&p as using GAT's descr projectiles causes a CTD, however i can't save the file and its changes as apparently i don't have permission, its not read only and i am logged as administrator any ideas?

    First did you use his file or did you splice in the crossbow data into the one that came with 1.4?
    Here just download this. Its Grand Admiral Thrawn's crossbow fix applied to 1.4.
    Just drag and drop from download folder into data folder of CoW mod.




    EDIT:1.41 works fine no need

    Yea sorry. Should have verified that they still had a shooting problem before posting will edit retraction that its no longer needed.
