CTD...oh no, not again ???

just started playing....maybe 10, 15 turns...game froze...only a few days ago i was playing etw, i think i was in year 1850...not one single crash...they have to fix this just like they fixed etw...dissappointed..very

sorry to hear. i havent had a crash yet. quite a bit more stable then Empire was at launch.

I've had a CTD during battles, but not during the campaign. It has been frustarting but no where even remotely close to the numbers of CTD I had with Empire. Not by a long shot...

I guess that's the advantage for CA - they release a horrible POS and then a year later they release something that doesn't even have to be good - it just has to be better than the benchmark set by ETW.

Funny, I haven't had nearly as many crashes as Empire.

However, I have had to lower my settings far more than I should for my specs otherwise it crashes...still haven't been able to find out what's causing my constant lag...

mine is crashing in egypt and europe evrytime, very annoying especially because this is the best total war

Mine's crashed a few times during battles, but not (yet) on the campaign map.

But as others, nowhere near the frustrations of Empire, where games would be ruined due to corrupted saves and crashes on certain turns.

I have had one crash during a battle but i was minimizing and reopening the game a lot... so that probably had something to do with it

Yup I'm crashing hardcore too. First it started off on every other battle. Now it's every single one, even after drastically lowering the graphic settings. Sweeeet.

I had tinkered around with the sound settings, and noticed after that some weirdness in the sound during battles, and it also stuttering when the ctd's occured.

After setting them back to 'default', seems more stable.

Ive not had a single crash with napoleon, but i suppose i hardly had any with empire either.

What are your specs?

i really hope the will bring the first patch because lower my settings doenst help. its crashing in every battle on the campaign map now...47 euros to hell

No crashes, I never crashed in ETW except early first week when I had SLI problems.

I have zero crashes so far. zero. no need for etw to be a bench mark. crashes usually happen when I have the pc on for longer than 24 hours and tried to play any game, that is a problem with the windows operating system, not the game's problem. but that has been eliminated since I stop using windows xp.

I wouldn't discount it as being very wrong. In my GB campaign by the time I had every region captured it was about 1832. When you get stuck into a campaign you like with a faction you love, time flies That was until it got corrupted and I lost it forever...
