Restyling ETW

I've read somewhere some time ago that creative assembly would update ETW as well when NTW came out (little details like faces etc).

Did they actually do this or is ETW still the same product it was a few months ago? I haven't been here for a while hence me asking

Indeed. They uttered the possibly of this, but then scrapped the idea of this because they wanted to focus on Nappy (and because of the technical limitations (read: cost-benefit

)).

They spend far too much attention on Napoleon already, I just hope they are busy with the next total war game and am looking forward to the announcement of whats it going to be.

Napoleon is just an expensive expansion, nothing more.

Apparently, at E3, Scott Steinberg let is slip that Rome 2 is being worked on -- can anyone confirm this with video or other corroborating evidence?

Retro-fitting ETW in NTW style has long ago been abandoned. They say that patch 1.6 will be among their very last efforts put into ETW.
Sad but true.

Will they at least release an SDK so that modders can do it themselves?

and also is there a source as to where it says they've stopped doing this?

At this point I dont think theres gonna be a ETW 1.6

Seriously, i purchased napoleon about 2 weeks ago and it's already getting boring. I like ETW better and it's a shame that CA didn't put more effort into it.

I think there will be a 1.6, just give them some time. The longer the better if it really is the last patch. Make it as perfect as possible please.

I would like to be optimistic about a patch but im not holding my breath.

CA probably dont care with most people now back on their side because of NTW the interest in fixing ETW has dwindled unfortunately.

I'd like to know where these guys are getting their "facts" from?! Last official word from CA was, they ARE working on a BAI patch to be released after Napoleon. No word when, but nothing has been said about scrapping the idea. So those who say they know for a fact the patch is not coming need to bring proof, or perhaps shut up and stop misleading others.

I have also googled, and I can't find proof either. the first search result I get is ETW to be updated with the NTW features/engine mind you, this is 6 months ago.
