That sounds awesome. Here's how to do it:

Search export_descr_units.txt in the ExRM subdirectory for roman legionary cohort and change stat_health from 1,5 to 6,5. That will make them extremely hard to kill. You can also double the first number in the stat_pri_armour line. Do, that, too, and that make the unit functionally unkillable.

Yep is should be.......will also help him get used to odering his infantry to flank whilst the front pins the enemy in place.

plus i get to play with them in some custom battles

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it. Can i also edit the melee and missile hit points in this way?

    Default exrm editting help

    Hello
I also have problems editing my bactrian general and Cataphracts.
I want to remove their bows, because i cant afford the years they require to shot a goddamn arrow.
I changed their missile range and ammunition to 0, but that did not work.
So, has anyone an idea how to change this?
    thanks

If you are in a battle and don't want them to prefire before they charge, just hold alt while you order an attack and it'll come up with a sword cursor and just charge in.

    Welcome to the boards!

    Gomer's right--that's what I usually do.

In the next version, morale will be lower across the board, so you'll find the archery will be quite useful. The missile morale penalty plus the charge might be enough to break units in some situations.

Thank you for your Answer, did not know the Alt-thing.I just had the problem that my cannon fodders, persian sparabra in that case, were low on Morale, so the charge had to come in immeadiatly.Same for quick assaults on the enemy General at the start.

And of course, thank you for your great work on this mod.

Yup. Alt-clicking is the way to go. If you're still interested in changing it, then you would need to remove the arrow characteristic (I think it's arrow?) from that very same line. Alternatively, just copy and pasting the secondary weapon onto the primary weapon should do the trick.

    Hopefully.
