Problem with third age.

Hey guys, i am new here, and i have problem with third age.
I installed total war 2, and kingdoms, and downloaded only third age without patches. When the load screen in the game starts to load a battle its kicks me out of the game ans it writes Medieval total war 2 encountered an unspecified error and will now exit. Pls help.

You mean just plain TA:TW 1.0?
I'll suggest to update till 1.4.1 because you won't get any support for 1.0 - not to mention you would need the 1.0 bugfix.

i updated to 1.4 patch and still doesen't work

yes im having the same problem as him, i have all the patches and everything yet it errors when a battle tries to load

If both of you haven't done that at the first place, my suggestions are:
Uninstall MII completely and don't forget to check your VirtualStore for any "Sega" or "Medieval II Total War" folders, if you find some, delete them.
Run a regestry cleaner and erase all reg entries left from MIITW, Kingdoms and TA:TW.
Install the game anew, but change the directory! Don't use the default directory, hence you avoid the virtualstore directory.
Install TA:TW in the correct order without any bugfixes up to 1.4.1
Make sure that your Third_Age.bat looks like this:

third_age.bat

cd ..\..
start kingdoms.exe @mods\third_age\TATW.cfg

Make sure that your TATW.cfg looks like this:

TATW.cfg

[log]
to = logs/system.log.txt
level = * trace
;level = * error

Start the game and check if the CTD still occurs.
If so, pelase .rar the system.log.txt and attach it to your post, so we can check it for errors.

okay i got rid of med II and tatw and patches, now lets see if this works

okay installed med2/expansions and beginning third age
