2 turns for month=24 turns per year
from 1805 to 1813=8 years
24*8=192
very fews for me...![]()
But that's only until you reach your victory conditions, you can play after that. Anyway, that's only 8 less than Empire!
Are you guys finding that the turns (player turn not AI) are whizzing by quicker than in Empire?
Playing as GB with naval domination there is much less for me to do than with Empire's multiple fronts/theatres.
However only one year's past so far, am hoping as things hot up turn times will take longer as I like the epic, drawn out GC's.
Yea Im lovin the speed in between turns....seems to take about 20-30 seconds every time. In ETW, toward the end of the grand campaign, Marathas turn alone would take 5 minutes.
'1 turn=1 week would be perfect for me....'
That'd be sweet.
I haven't touched it myself, but I was under the impression you could edit a config file to change the number of weeks in a year. If not, I believe there are mods that will do it.
The grand campaigns have a lot more time than you'd expect. Even if you are pretty casual in your conquests you'll have plenty of time.
in my first campaing with GB it was 1806 and I already Liberated Belgium, took Caen, Brittany and Paris along with Provence and had to full stacks in the field...even though my income was lousy 5k a turn....have to watch your ppls.....it is not advised to turtle too long at the beginning, since all the AIs play it safe from the begining. I rushed to liberate Belgium and then moved the team to Brittany....then you can slow down a little....but keep a heavy fleet near Spain to prevent idiots coming up..and always keep at least 2-4 50-74 cannon ships in the Channel to block the French and Batavian Ports
Then it is a piece of cake.
