Dont ofuscate yourself! It's pointless to resist . . .
If they keep not doing stuff they say they'll do, I'm not surprised they'll do stuff they said they won't. Hence, Total War: World War
IWW??? woh! cool...![]()

Rome 2: total war would be my guess.
The original is the game that allowed the game to reach a broader audience and made CA a leading force in strategy games.
Shogun and Medieval 1 never interested me because they already looked outdated at the time of release with its 2D units and simple 3D enviroments. Graphics arent everything of course but it just didnt look appealing to me at all.
I wouldnt mind a Shogun 2: total war either, although I would prefer to have more than only Japan playable. The best of both worlds would be a game set in a period before Rome came to power that spans from western Europe to Japan.
This could allow for many great civilizations to be present. China, Babylon, Greeks, Macedons, Persia, Assyria, etc.
Considering what if scenarios that the total war series is pretty much build upon, a clash between west and far east might be the ultimate thing.
Rome 2 would be awesome, thats if they don't release it in beta form like ETW lol![]()
medieval 3 total war would be great. and could be overall a better choice but thats my opinion.
I don't really care what's next anymore.
CA jumped the shark with ETW. With NTW they've continued in a direction that I'm not interested in-DLC, scripted campaigns, unmoddable games, Steam, graphics eye candy and all the rest.
I expect more of the same with all their future releases.
I've gone back to M2TW (I just got the "Kingdoms" expansion pack yesterday) and earlier releases. I even got "Shogun" out for a whirl the other day and frankly it's more fun than ETW for me because the BAI suprised me and had me on the ropes.

Cats & Dogs Total War. Dominate the World join either the Cat or Dog Faction, defeat the minor factions of Hamstonia, and Girbaria, be careful, do not run low on kibble farms.

Yep! Shougun was IMHO the most difficult game so far (I didnt try med I), I got persistenly defeated in almost all them battles! (I dont like to think that its why I uninstall it and didnt buy medI)
Pets total war priceless...although I sense the darth side of humour there...although that doesnt make it any less funny![]()

I just hope they will move back in time and not forward for the next game. I dont like periods focusing on guns much. I prefer up close and personal combat.
Medieval 3 would be rather unlikely for now, Shogun 2 or Rome 2 will probably be it.
I've heard a lot of rumors about the next title to be released, and supposedly it will be Empire: Total War 2. Supposedly they're working on it now and it should be out in few months.
Apparently, at E3, Scott Steinberg let is slip that Rome 2 is being worked on -- can anyone confirm this with video or other corroborating evidence?

Sure, I can certainly read the date on the story -- but I was wondering if anyone could add more than speculation.
Even this, posted much more recently than my first link;
http://www.totalpcgaming.com/latest-...e-total-war-2/
...doesn't add more than speculation, even from Mike Simpson.
The simple fact of the matter; we won't know what is next until SEGA/The CA announces it.
It's certainly the game I'd like to see next.
I would give my left buddy for Shogun Total War 2

Well I would like to see a Rome 2 so anything anybody that is related to CA will be taken by me as a sign in heaven that rome 2 is comming! Hey! I watched spartacus yesterday! -ROME 2 hell yeah!
It's interesting they said that WWI would be doable but not playable...I fully agree that is preciselly why there are so few games about WWI in the first place. I dont think that anything more modern than American Civil war would do in total war form but of course I would love to be proven wrong...in the times of Rome 1 I used to say that it was imposible to do waterloo or any napoleonic battle in total war and now I have the game box next to me as Im typing thisand darth permiting, we might have someday ultra darth sizes and see the battle in all its glory
I think that the most sensible thing to do would be an american civil war expansion and then a rome 2 with full direct X 11 support...but that is just what I would like to see![]()
