That's what is does? gives you Traits? You'd expect it to be more of a big deal, would'nt you?
How do I find it anyhow? Just one clear day I was informed one of my generals found it, thats how it works?

There is a certain chance that you will find it in the misty mountains, when you kill an enemy general with the ring or when your general with the ring dies of a natural cause it is given to it's oldest son (I believe). The ring gives you several bonuses and penalties for the holding general.
