my current situation as Gondor...

hi guys. this is me playing TATW 1.4 with RR/RC after 49 turns of epic rape. custom campaign (factions start at war)



my economy is excellent. you see its in the red cause of all the buildings im building and all my cities are set to low tax except castles of course.

my first pic shows the situation in minas. after like 20 victories and about 30000 orcs dead, ive slowly gotten pushed back to minas. ive killed the goddamn witch king 3 times already. just before taking the pic i killed 5000 orcs in one attack. heroic victory 300 casualties the orcs lost their entire army.

in the 2nd you can see the situation south. first began a series of battles against harad to take barad harn. they took it and after about 20 turns and many battles i managed to capture it and advance south. the enemy intercepted my army sieging their settlement and destroyed it, along with another small reinforcement army sieging barad harn after it was retaken by harad. now i have a new army and im ready to push south again. we'll have to see how that goes.

in the 3rd you can see that after some pain i managed to seize umbar from about 700 defenders including faction leader. i sent my fleet back to dol for reinforcements.


as you can see also from the map in the 2nd picture, the situation north is sketchy.

dwarves still not taken gundabad. the silvan elves are getting attacked from 2 fronts. Moria is under siege by Rohan (W T F?!?) and is still at peace with isengard. eriador and HE are just standing around doing . isengard is beginning to push north with 3 armies. rohan besides is doing NOTHING! like not even helping me, their ally.

i thought id show it. its all going like an eternal struggle.

Well, Dwarves are kicking Rhùn, and Rohan is doing pretty well instead of being beaten by Isengard. It doesn't seems too bad.

The continuous full stacks coming out of Mordor, with Harad pushing up from the south make Gondor probably the hardest faction to play. Fighting the same battles again and again (the siege of East Osgiliath, usually) can become wearisome.

However if you hold out, after a long time and a lot of battles finally Mordor forces seem to dwindle a little and then you can think of starting to push back.

goddamn. aint that right... i just hope that if i hold a little bit longer my allies north will do something, but instead nothing's going on. Dol guldur has a full host marching around causing havoc.

If you are relying on your AI allies to do something to save you, you'd better start another TATW game.

Ya sorry but I agree with Baron Samedi, your campaign is good but it is nothing special. On turn 30 of my Gondor campaign I destroyed harad. So you should next time post it in a thread that is already talking about campaigns.

RR/RC ver 1.4, VH/VH?

because if what youre saying is true, oh btw, IM PLAYING CUSTOM CAMPAIGN! also, no peace treaty with any evil faction (rhun, harad, mordor, isengard, OOTMM)

btw, custom campaign you start at war.

and the only reason i posted this was because i have fought tooth and nail to stay alive.
