Why are my spies not showing cinematics on my new SS games..they did the first few games, but no longer? same with assassins...

Check your medieval2.preference.cfg and check under [video] for
assassination_movies = 1
infiltration_movies = 1
sabotage_movies = 1
if they are 0, change to 1

Also, there is another (easier) way. Your "mission succesfull" and "assassin misses target" and all those other messages have a checkbox "Don't show movies for this type" or something. If it's checked, uncheck it.
