What do you think about NTW so far?

Hey!

Whanted to know if you think It wold be worth buying NTW or if it is as mutch of a fail as ETW was on relese?

I know I was not all that happy with the things in ETW, so what do you say has not changed in NTW from ETW and whats new and interesting?

So far I really like it. Although I wish the game world was larger. Then again its Napoleon: Total War, so no North America for us. =O The best thing to far I think is the improved combat maps. They just look so much crisper!

Agree. The thing that annoyed me the most with ETW was the flat combat maps. Good thing they changed this in NTW.

I'm loving it so far , i prefere naval battles and this is 100% better for me , i've spent hours in the coalition campaign fighting on the open seas , it really is amazing as far as i'm concerned , please CA/Sega release the mod tools for empire now you have napoleon it can only lead to great things.

It's the game that ETW fell short of being.

It is much better than Empire Total War, no doubt. In my opinion NTW has brought everything that had not ETW...

Well I think the CAI and the BAI are better than ETW. That being said, it’s not by much... I think the map is a little small, I would at least like the top of Africa and Egypt and a little more of Russia in the game...

CA always intended for their game to be like NTW but had to release a beta version known as ETW.

Obviously NTW is far superior

Disregarding BAI/CAI and the graphical enhancements i believe Empire is the better game.

Comparing of Shogun Total War to Rome Total War a la I-the-gamer:

first i think they should implement all the new graphics bai and cai in etw. especially more regions for france - so we could enjoy those things on the great campaign map.
second is i really dislike the 4 factions restriction.
third is: i´m still missing campaign multiplayer for etw on the big map...

when i was playing i recognized that in napoleon i can see the improvements of my units on the campaigng screen (accuracy and so on...) that´s something that isn´t fixed in etw yet...

I voted for the first option. It is definitely a big improvement over Empire, I never had this much fun with Empire on release! Also, the repeated crashing and various issues I saw with Empire, are not present here. I'm impressed, CA actually managed to release a stable and well rounded game for once, bravo, let us hope they continue to raise the bar.

I'd like to see EVERYTHING implemented to ETW. The only thing that still has me playing it is India and America, and DarthMod. That guy could do wonders with this game. We'll see if he decides NTW needs hotting up

the empire was a very bad game and napoleon totalwar is a good game,but needs to improve the AI;more historical units,the scoth greys must be in campaign not in buy steam this unit is very important and famous,the scoth greys must be affordable for all players;more historical events;more historical generals with historical portraits etc.

NTW is a huuuge improvement over ETW! in nearly all aspects of Gameplay. The only thing that i dislike is the linearity of the campaigns.

It is a high powered expansion.

The game play is improved over ETW but as a stand alone game it is too limited.

I like the improvements they have made, the new features and so on, it is good as far as it goes.

The lack of the early and late periods in a general campaign is a bit disappointing.

It seems a grand platform for moding if we get s suite of tools but a uniform editor and some DLC is never going to make it into more than a rather large expansion game.
