    Yes, I've played several, 3 or 4.
I think I got them all while playing campaign and being asked if I wanted to join though.
I had several people drop in on me, too.

So, when starting a new campaign, does turning off Drop in Battles also prevent you from being asked to drop in on other people's battles?

I dropped into one and found I was playing as a small French contingent consisting of only 2 units of Fusiliers of Line against about 12 units of veteran Prussian units...

Still, I made him regret choosing Drop In

i think thats the best drop in experience you can have. no pressure to win. just have fun and inflict as much damage as possible!

Yep, this is why I look forward to having time for a campaign that has people drop in it for me. It will make victories much more expensive! And bringing Napoleon to a drop in is asking to have him sent to Paris for a few months.

So you won? Or just inflicted heavy losses?

Yeah exactly. It isn't like my SP campaigns or my MP battles (I'm competitive) where I feel under pressure if things aren't going my way (but no, I don't rage quit). Its fun to be able to just have a laugh without caring about the consequences.

I thought drop-in battles are for campaign only. I played 3 (2-1) by searching for one. Played as Austria and Spain twice.

And you are not suppose to be able to call a drop-in if the balance of forces is not reasonable. In this case, the drop-in button is locked on the battle menu. 2 against 12 is quite unbalanced.

I've read the drop-in is still a bit buggy. Sometimes it won't let you drop in even if the forces are exactly even, other times it lets really uneven forces match up. I can't remember which thread, but someone was actually using two computers with "friends only" set to test when it worked and when it didn't. It worked correctly most of the time, but it could misfire.

This battle happened like a week ago. When I said 12 I was in no way being precise. It may well have been 8. It might have been 10. It might well have just been 6. Either way, it was more than I had.
