So .......
Where,s my British grenadiers ???
Custom battle only.
They would come in handy in many instances and they are not even in the British custom battle list.

British grenadiers are not included in any current versions of NTW.
Perhaps in later DLCs they might be included.
Maybe someone will mod them in later on? But I am certain we will see them in a DLC pack soon

They should be included that's true.
Or the famous march British grenadiers just makes no sense.
I remember CA gave a specific reason for not including them - they wanted to make the factions more diverse and so didn't want to give Britain grenadiers (as well as the fact that they didn't use grenades in this period).

Grenadiers were not that distinguished from normal line during the Napoleonic era, the big fuzzy-wuzzy bearskins we all know and love come a bit later

Not distinguished apart from being, "of all the world's great heroes, there's none that can compare" to them? Quite.
I think its criminal to not include them. It's equivalent to not include Napolean's Old Guard, who, may I note, are in game.
Historical facts aside: it's quite clear that France is the "primary" or "main" faction in the game just like the Romans were in RTW by having the most diverse unit selection. Britain has just been brutally simplified for production speed and DLC plans.
"The Sun never sets on the British Empire......because I have to keep restarting my campaign."
If Britain didn't produce grenadier regiments they shouldn't be able to produce grenadier regiments in the game. Simple as that really.![]()
historically, the 'regiment' sizes in the game are unrealistic. might as well include grenadiers as recruitable unrealistic regiments, continuing with the unrealism but at least acknowledging that they exist. you really cannot piss off the historically-inclined crowd anymore than CA already has, and you'd be increasing unit variation just a tad bit (which is a plus) and appeasing the many GB players.

No wonder we lost some battles who,s idea was it to disband grenadiers ? Or not use them ?
The reason that CA didn't include Grenadiers for Britain was because Britain didn't detach grenadier companies from parent battalions in order to form assault battalions. Most of the other powers did however.
