Default Some help choosing a video card

    Hello everyone.

So my sitaution is that im in the market for a new video card. I have my eye on the Nvidea PNY Verto GeForce 9400 GT. I have been trying to look around for videos and such to get information on how well the card will run games but I have had very limited luck.

This is the card I plan to buy, specs and all.

Im hoping to run Napolean Total War and games with similiar graphics qaulity. Is this possible with the card mentioned above?

right thats a terrible card and very over priced, whats your maximum budget you can definitly get better, you can get the same card for about $20 less online.

Its CAD, so its not as overpriced as if it were USD, but its still massively overpriced. This is around that price.

but that still won't play NTW very well. We'll need more information to give you suggestions, ie. budget, your system specs, the resolution you are playing at.

I'm certain your monitors resolution is not 640x480 as you say, go to control panel> personalization > display settings, to see what it is.

Your screen resolution makes the biggest difference on what card you need.

If your in Canada I know of only one store personally that ships to you, im sure there are more about mind you. However this card is cheaper and much more powerfull than your initial choice and is made by a far better brand of card manufacturer:

However if you can strech your budget to about $110-$130 you will end up with something far better

TigerDirect is usually very overpriced. Go to a place like shopbot.ca, find the cheapest price for your product, take it to NCIX, and in the checkout do a price match to the cheaper price. NCIX is the canadian form of newegg.
