Default Two Questions on Spanish Campaign

So I used one of the faction unlocking mods to play as Spain in NTW. I love the game, Spain has been given some beautifuly made units and the Santisima Trinidad kicks major ass. I have 1 question and 1 comment. First my question: why don't we have flutes? I loved this feature and everyone seems to have them, but Spain . Russia and Prussia suffer from this as well only their grenadiers have songs playing.

My question is on liberating vs conquering. Why would you ever liberate? I conquered all the Italian states so I've seen the liberation option many times because apparently all the italian factions can be liberated. My question is why would I do this? Is there any real benifit to liberating aside from being the nice guy? Even if you wanted to create a buffer state you still have to protect the buffer state so you might as well own it imo.

The buffer state will pay you tribute because it is a protectorate and supply you with some free units. It also defends itself with its on armies. When fighting a large empire with few armies you probably dont want to conquer a region because then you will be forced to garrison it, so its more beneficial to liberate regions when you can.

However if you are looking to really increase your income and expand you empire then conquering a region is better.

In my french campaign at the moment I liberated bavaria and venice from austria and they are forming nice buffer states against an austrian counter offensive while i deal with the damn prussians who just joined the war, but i plan to liberate poland in my war with prussia just to give them something else to worry about. It all depends what you think is best for your empire, i only liberate when its useful to me, normally i will keep the territory, like i did with berlin and the few provinces around that.

....out of date? yes I know that Spain used the french horn a lot in their marching but come on thats a crappy reason every army used some sort of musical instrument y not give it to Spain CA? Add this into a patch along with the Russian and Prussian line infantry's music

When you liberate, you don't have to worry about managing that territory, you get a new ally/trade partner and the protectorate actually counts as your region.

Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.
