Army advancements

for some reason i can no longer get my military to advance anymore..
i dont get the pop-up that says the military stages of the game.
all i can get is tier 3 units i think thats the right one..
cant get swordsmen for gondor or the gondor knights. etc
cant get beserkers of uruk hai(Stronger ones) or wargs etc
so on....for other factions
please help...

You need enough culture to be able to recruit these units.

i know that and my culture is way high in the 80-90 range by the time i should be able to recruite the units...

the only way is to reinstall

yes...i dont get the message gor the military stages.
deleted all TATW folders
renstalled still nothing
deleated again and than deleted M2TW
reinstalled everything again and still doesnt work...

with each reinstall i go to 100 turns..to make sure

If you delete the game you should also run for instance a program like ccleaner to delete the registries that remain on your system. That should take care of any hidden files that could affect the game after you reinstall it again. If this doesn't work; try my submod Total Recruitment so you should have access to all units right at the start of the game.

did that once....not really happy when it erased every file and forlder i had saved....

Ccleaner removes all unnecessary/unused registries from your system after you have uninstalled certain programs you don't use anymore. For instance also the SEGA registry in SOFTWARE in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. You can also make a back-up of your registries with this program before you remove them, so nothing can go wrong.

You can also install rr rc instead of reinstallingf the game

i did try that and it got worse i had no units to start with unless they were AOR units and you only get them every like twenty turns so that didnt help...but ill try the ccleaner...thanks for the help..

It's easy to check if you're game is working correctly, just start a new campaign and if you don't get the welcome to middle-earth message it means that you're installation is faulty and you have to re install medieval II.

You can clean your registry after uninstalling through ccleaner, if that still doesn't work type 'regedit' in your command window and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Sega and delete the medieval folders.
