Imperial Edition

No doubt this issue is similar to the Special Forces thing with ETW. However before I shell out my money, could someone tell me what specific advantage do I get if I buy the IE vs. the limited? From Amazon, not in Australia! (I've heard the Australian version is awesome).

Besides the 10 extra units, a poster of Napoleons life and a cool looking box, I dont see any differences. And Amazon you say, I believe the pre order unit is the "Grand Battery of the Convention".

I´m proud of having the imperial edition. The cool looking box, the extra units, etc.
I don´t detect most of the bugs that some guys say in the bug related threads, don´t know if it´s related, if it´s diferent the normal edition from the imperial one.
I love the game. It´s the most additive one, and i´ve played from the shogun. Just didn´t played medieval II.
PS: I´m in the coalition campaign with the british (no particular reason), and i´m proud to say that i´ve seen napoleon falling from his horse (ha ha ha), he didn´t die though... He doesn´t die. lol.

You are not getting the Grand Battery any more, just like you cannot get the Royal Scots Greys either... The pre-order time is gone.

But the Imperial Edition is worth the extra cash.

OK it seems the Limited edition comes with codes for 15 dowloadable units. I presume that these 15 units are NOT the same 10 extra units you get with the IE?

They both come with the same 15 downloadable units. MortenJenssen probably didn't mention the other 5 units (the elite regiment pack) because they also come with the normal edition of NTW.

I don't think it's worth getting because you only get one or two units per faction and none of them really fill any specific void in the existing lists.

Yep, it's not a bad unit.

I got the SF for ETW but only bought the standard for NTW.

If you wait a few months you can pick up the units for under $5.

It is just how much you want the units now and a poster you won’t use.
