    Title says it all.

    I was really looking forward to using this vessel, particularly with the new and improved naval stats (couldn't make as much use of it in Empire as the 5th rate with 500 range was just too good to bother with much else).

    Please when you release the first patch just put this boy back in the GC. It's there already in custom battle, I can't imagine it'd cause any problems whatsoever to include it in the GC + as I say, with the stats as they are I think it'd fill a nice role and be a lot of fun to use.

    Cheers.

    Swiss Halberdier's prototype Additional Units Mod for Napoleon has the Razee.

    Thanks for the info, + whilst good to know I really think that this unit should be in the GC 'out of the box'.

    Mods are all well and good, but often add extra stuff that I don't want, change the gameplay too much (or improve something/break something else) and sometimes cause stability issues, especially with future official patches of the game. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-modding in the slightest, but some simple stuff should just be there in vanilla.

    Cheers for the heads up though.

    It's most likely in their but under a different name. Compare the guns and men to the 32 and 38 Frigates.

    @♔Sir Reginald♔

    Nope, definitely not. She's a SoL with the top deck removed, 48 guns. Hull strength of a 3rd rate 64 + roughly twice the firepower of the frigates you mention (I think).

    The ship is available in custom battle.

    Why would they leave it out of the campaign

    Who knows, but it's not there which is a real shame. Hopefully they'll rectify this if we can bring their attention to it.

    Maybe it was simply left out by mistake...

    Both the brig and the sloop are in the game yes, both for custom battle and GC.

    HMS Victory is also absent in the GC, though from what I gather in the 'Battle of Trafalgar' she is just a standard first rate with a name change (not certain on this).

    funy thing how you say it... 1rate was not "standard" by any means... Great Britain had only few (10?) during Napoleon Era... no one else had more... for example Nelson had just 2 1rates, both as Admiral Flagships...

    Could you be more specific please? Have you built them yourself, which nation, what naval tech level and so on? Campaigns of the Coalition right?

    Thanks, would really appreciate the info. Maybe there's something I've missed, but just don't see how.

    Cheers.

    @JaM

    You know what I mean man. In E:TW she was a unique unit with a different look and altered stats.

    It's so strange they put units in battles and not in GC. They usually did otherwise

    Spam on the offical forum and hopefully someone from Ca will hear&understand you.

    i played the vanilla NTW few hours, and i'm active modder, i can tell you many things are just wrong in vanilla and could be done much better than CA did. They have chosen one path, modders choose another to meet their goal. For CA it is ease to be played, to modders its historical accuracy AND gameplay... it is possible to create a game that is historically correct (especially if theme of this game is so enclosed with small campaigns) and fun to play...

    That's where I've come from. No joy... ;(

    @Lord Dakier

    Mods are great, don't get me wrong. But they do frequently change a host of variables when often I find I only want a couple changed + as mentioned there are sometimes issues with stability, particularly as new patches and DLC are introduced. Finally, there are some things that should be modded to suit different tastes, play styles etc and then others that should be 'out of the box' or officially fixed.

    Sorry for going on a bit here, just to be clear, I think mods are a very good thing, but never the less some things should be put right without them.

    'it is possible to create a game that is historically correct (especially if theme of this game is so enclosed with small campaigns) and fun to play...'

    I couldn't agree with you more there. The naval changes in Empire 1.4 being a prime example of where CA went totally wrong IMO, for both realism and gameplay.
