How to improve agents skills

Hi.

It seems that it's possible to imrprove your priest and rakes skills by sticking them in a university for some time.

I had 2 priest for a reason I don't really understand (probably there when I took the city) in a university and every once in a while they would have a new trait. After I decided to have a look on where this was coming from I've found 2 priest 5-6 stars respectively. The 6 star guy convert 50% of the population in a city easily.

It's like having the pope coming up in town hahaha.

I wonder why gentleman doesn't gain traits as fast. My guest is that they are supposed to be in a university most of the time which would make them extra good.


Another finding is that: This occured in America and the traits are very America related (+2 when converting in america) . So it will be lost as soon as the guy move say to India. It's therefore not possible to "cook" them to be ready for another continent.

RP wise I suppose it can be explained by not understanding the population needs and culture as well as in the native country.

There was a discussion about this some time ago, maybe reading some posts there will help you?
I think most people agreed that a) the success rate is too low for rakes and b) they don't level up fast enough.

Well, maybe it didn't have anything to do with the university... A priest does, no matter where he is, convert the population to his faith. So, if you simply forgot your two priests for a while, they were busy using their passive converting skill and thus gained experience and improved stats.

Same goes for rakes. If you simply don't do anything with them they will improve their espionage skill (when in enemy territory) or their counterespionage skill (when in your own territory).

So it could be a coincidence that your priests were in that university while leveling-up.

Its a bit like my Issac Newton having an armchair general trait for being forced to research military traits all the time. What ndefontetay said is perfect as I never leave my gentlemen outside universities but rakes can get worse if being put in any kind of city for doing nothing
