    Default Shrapnel Shells not included?

Hi, sorry if this question has been asked already. Would I be correct in assuming shrapnel shells have been phased out along with the firing drills and historically unimportant weapons like the puckle & organ guns and fergusson rifles? I can't find shrapnel in the custom battles, and I've played the campaign of the coalition for a few days now and not discovered it, and the tech tree doesn't mention it at all.
It seems strange that they would include them in E:TW and exclude them from N:TW, considering they were only invented in the early 1800s. And does anyone know if the fougasse is included?

Yes, As it should be, Shrapnel shot wasnt used in long guns. IE cannons, It was only used by the british and only with there howitzers, And in ETW it wasnt demonstrated properly anyways.

Its a bit complicated to explane but the way the shell exploted was totaly wrong to how it worked in real time with Round shot shells, The way it worked in empire was how it would have worked had the guns been rifled cannons with the new specialized shells that had the powder charge at the base of the shell when explodeing, the force of the charge would push the led balls other pieces of the shell forword so as to evenly spray the target with hot iron splenters etc, HOWEVER....The napoleonic variation on this concept was still primitive and it acted as a common shell would, but with a smaller powerder charge in the shell, with a fuse set to explode over head or at chest hight of the troops or artillery or cav....And the explosion pattern of the shot would be a 360 degree kill zone.....

So im all for it, as long as its only howitzers useing it.

Also get rid of that dam lime shot and carcass shot....
