    Howdy yall.
Beat all of napoleons campaigns and am now working on playing Russia, who has a great position and no enemies of immediate threat.

Very early and easily I destoyed the ottomon empire and secured additional ports. I intend to secure the wealth of the sea trade points by destroying Spain's monopoly. Russia already gives me 10k a turn with only one active full stack army. I sent 2 armies to spain on ships, one made it through the maddening attacks of spanish and french fleets and landed in eastern spain, liberiating an undefended town at the border of france and securing the western town for myself. I've defended against spanish armies, who now stem from spain's one remaining region on the province. I have alot of money coming in now but won't be able to compete with Spain or france's navy for a long time. I hope that by destroying spain as a faction early their navy will dissapear, and the trade ports for things like Ivory will open up. With the money from eastern trade spots (furs) I can afford to take Spain and probably hold off French incursions to the Iberian Penunsila.

What are your veteran thoughts on whehter the spanish fleets will dissapear once the kingdom of spain is defeated?

What do you think I should do about fighting France's southern fleet for control of the central sea?

This attack on the Ottomons and Spain has gone so well from these early attacks I know this campaign has great potential. WHen I played as Napoleon I was envious of Spain's wealth and saw they had a practically nonexistant military.

Any thoughts on how I should establish wealth? Im currently allied with prussia, austria, Britain, and rest of coalition. My worries are I won't be able to control the southern sea and thus the trade spots and that france will invade.

The southern French Naval Squadron was only a few frigates and the like when I saw it.

As for the Spanish Fleet, yes I think it should go bye bye.

Now have you gotten any further?

    How did it go?

It's a very unorthodox approach, that's for sure. When I played my Russia campaign, I don't think I ever made a fleet. Before attacking the Ottomans, I took care of my neighbor to the north, the Swedes. FInland is one of your voctory regions, so you'll have to take it at some point. After that, I moved my armies through what was left of Austria and engaged the French directly.

It's an interesting approach you have, and it might work. Some cool alternate history in any case. I like it!

should definately take care of Spain's fleet that way but it is a very unorthodox way of fighting. Spain should have 2-3 stacks sitting there and being so far from Russia, you won't have any decent way of resupplying your army with fresh units.

Another thing is the way the AI is programmed, France WILL declare war on you. If they do before you finish off the Dons, then you will be looking at both of them hitting you like a hammer and anvil. I wish you luck on it, you are definately playing it the hard way
