What about a TW game that involves the entire world from 1800-1900, with unique units for every faction. A U.S. civil war campaign would be awesome. Another great campaign would be the Anglo-Zulu war.

I'm hoping for Empire 2, spanning 1815 until 1920. The idea being to play out the European power struggle abroad in the colonies for the most part, with the occasional minor war or revolution in Europe, all culminating to an almost inevitable (but not scripted) world war. The idea being to fight your wars economically on the campaign map for the most part, and avoiding serious armed conflict in Europe until you're confident you can checkmate your rivals with little conflict (because any European conflict is going to cause massive devastation). The US, the South American empires, and the East Asian nations might also be fun to play.
I like the idea, but it's just such a huuuuuuuuuuuge game. The only feasible way to do it would to go with a very generic unit set for most the factions, which would suck. That's a game that needs to built in pieces. What they could do is basically take E:TW, and then make an Asia expansion, and then make a South America expansion. And all of these would integrate into one, huge game.
